Why We Built SBVault | A Note From Our CEO

The story behind SBVault

2.00 TB gone in one click.

I lost something I can't get back. This is what we did about it.

Read the story

I lost two terabytes of my family one night. Photos, home videos, and audio recordings of my mom, who passed in 2013.

A prompt asked if I was sure I wanted to defragment the drive. I was tired, I clicked yes, and it was gone. No backup, no version to roll back to, no budget for a recovery specialist.

That night is why SBVault exists. I didn't lose those files to a hacker. I lost them because I owned the only copy, and the tool I trusted asked the wrong question at the wrong hour.

So we built the thing I wish I'd had.

I went looking for people who could make it better than I could alone, and for partners whose storage, security and AI were the best we could find, not the cheapest.

Every version kept

Change a file, delete a file, regret it a year later. The earlier versions are still here.

Julie reads your files for you

She finds what you need and answers from your documents. Nobody else sees them.

Books keeps your money straight

Receipts, statements and totals, sorted as they arrive so tax time is a click.

And we keep building, because the tech around you changes every month and your files shouldn't be the thing that falls behind.

If it matters to you, it's safe here.

That's the whole promise.
